University Assembly gathers professors, studensts and administrative technicians to discuss about the project “Future-se”

Convened by the Rector of the UFG, Edward Madureira Brasil, the entire academic community attended in the assembly, carried out on the last 09/23

Edward stressed the importance of discussing and knowing the project, and brought a view\outlook about the present situation of the university. The Rector also approached subjects that have been discussed within the scenario that UFG have been facing in the last months:

- The unblocking announced by the press and conducted by MEC has not arrived at universities yet;

- Contract debts of June, July, August, and September totalize R$ 21,3 millions;

- Future-se: fragmentation of the universities; uncertainity about finances already proposed; recognized budget shortfall;

- Publics universities are suffering several attacks, such as rectors appointment, extinction of positions,restrictions of tenders, CNPq budget reduction and CAPES, fake News propagation;

- "We are increasingly intensifying our relations with society. Some of our new projects: space of the professions, UFG participate, science everywhere, activities together the MP and together with OAB, guided tours to UFG spaces.
